“He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed.” ~ Albert Einstein
If the above quote from Albert Einstein is true for the average human being, how much more so is it true for creative types and artists ? When a creative type or artist loses his or her sense of awe for things they encounter in the world they are, in effect, killing off their creativity. We, as creative types and artists, can not let the world discourage us, depress us, or disorient us to the point that we no longer see the beauty in the most simplest things around us. Once we let this happen, two of our greatest enemies , cynicism and silence, have won. My fellow creative types and artists , vow with me now to never surrender that sense of awe that comes from gazing child like at the stars or from freshly examining the vibrant and vivid colors of spring flowers.Though they may not always admit it, the world needs our passion, our sense of wonderment, our creations to move forward as a collective society. Given that, let us vow to refuse to die so easily.
